PageHare started with a simple idea: writing should be completely distraction-free, and publishing a beautiful page should require no design skills at all.

The editor

PageHare is built around the Tiptap editor. When you write, the screen is yours. Your markdown is the canonical text and it is never rewritten by the system — a deterministic rule engine reads its structure and maps each section to a block: prose, a header, a set of items, a question and answer. No drag-and-drop, no templates. Just writing.

A reading surface that ships almost nothing

Published pages are server-rendered and carry no component library, no utility CSS, and no presentation JavaScript — a few kilobytes of styles and one typeface. The result loads fast and stays still while you read it.

True data ownership with ATProto

Centralized databases are gone. PageHare is built on the AT Protocol.

When you publish, your content is not locked in our servers. It is stored directly in your own Personal Data Server as site.standard.document records. You authenticate with your Bluesky handle, and you keep complete control of your data.

The standard.site ecosystem

By adopting the standard.site lexicon, PageHare stays interoperable. Your posts live alongside content created on other ATProto-native platforms like Leaflet, Pckt, and Offprint — a federated publishing ecosystem in which you are genuinely independent.
