PageHare started with a simple idea: writing should be completely distraction-free, and publishing a beautiful page should require no design skills at all.

An essay, a project introduction, a guide worth sharing: each deserves a home that is easy to create and comfortable to read. PageHare brings writing and publishing together so a finished thought can become a finished page.
Write first. The layout follows.
Start with a focused rich-text editor. Add headings, paragraphs, links, and lists as you write. PageHare uses that structure to arrange your content into a page, without asking you to position every element. Add tags and a cover image, preview the result, and publish when it feels ready.
Respect the reader's attention
The published page puts your writing at the center. Lightweight styles and responsive layouts make room for reading on a phone or a larger screen. Readers can follow your public link and start reading without creating an account.
Your account is the foundation
PageHare uses the AT Protocol, the network behind Bluesky. You sign in with your Bluesky identity, and published documents are stored on your Personal Data Server, the service that holds your account's data. Your published writing is part of that account, rather than existing only in PageHare.
A shared format for publishing
PageHare publishes site.standard.document records using the standard.site format.
A shared format gives compatible apps a common way to work with published documents. Each app
may support different features and display your writing differently.
PageHare is part of a wider publishing ecosystem alongside projects such as Leaflet, Pckt, and Offprint. The aim is to give writers more choice in how they create and share their work.
